After a smash-hit first performance of “Descendants: The Musical” earlier in the summer, Next Stop Broadway is again opening its doors for their third session of the student acting camp.

The program is designed for children aged 7 to 13 with any level of acting experience, where students learn acting drills, speaking skills, and delivering thrills on stage at the final show.

The summer started with “Descendants: The Musical” (June 13 – July 1), followed by the current session for “The SpongeBob Musical” (July 5 – July 22), and finally “Frozen Junior” (July 25 – August 12).

There will also be a program intended for artists aged 14 and above in the Teen Theatre Project, which this year will feature “The Addams Family.” This session will run from July 5 to August 6.

“We are incredibly proud of our students’ successful performance of The Descendants and excited to see our next cohort shine like superstars in our upcoming shows —It’s fun,” said Communications Director Randy Koral.

In addition to learning about acting, the sessions will include dress-up, movie days, spirit rallies, and extracurriculars like talent shows.

The creativity takes place at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts. Tuition is $870 per 3-week session for the Youth Camp and $1075 for the Teen Theatre Project.

Online registration is open for the current “SpongeBob Musical” session, which debuts on July 22, and the upcoming “Frozen Junior” session starting on July 25. Parents only need to pay $99 to reserve a space, and the camp offers a lunch program and extended care options for those interested.

All residents are invited to see the summer performances, with two showtimes available on Thursdays at 11 a.m. and Fridays at 6 p.m. “The Addams Family” teen production premiers on Saturday, August 6, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

With several NSB alumni working on Broadway, Netflix, Las Vegas, and more, Coral Springs is quickly becoming the starting ground to launch rising stars.
