Marjory Stoneman Douglas volleyball star Jordan Robertson announced that she would be playing in college at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
Robertson says committing feels amazing and has worked toward this goal since she was 14.
“The coaches and players at Duquesne helped me make my decision,” Robertson said. “They were all super nice and made me feel really welcome when I visited.”
Robertson’s volleyball career began in middle school when she played at Tribe. She has been on the varsity team since she was a freshman and has helped the Eagles win 26 matches during her four years. Robertson is not the only member of her family to play volleyball. Her mother, Christina, won two State Championships with the Eagles before playing at Florida Southern College. Her father, Andy, also played college basketball at FSW.
Before heading to college, Jordan hopes to improve her constancy and range. While Duquense has only won three matches this year, they had 13 wins year. Still, Robertson has one more regular season match with the Eagles before starting another District Championship as the two seed. MSD will play the winner of Coral Springs High School and Spanish River Community High School in the District Semifinals.
