Thanks to the Westglades Middle School Parent Teacher Organization, students may soon have outdoor dining options.
After being approached by parents and administration, the Westglades PTO started a fundraiser to purchase outdoor furniture for use during lunchtime at school.
Principal Matthew Bianchi said Westglades is doing its best to provide mitigation strategies for its students during this surge.
“We want to thank those parents who have already contributed to this project and want to encourage others to participate in the fundraiser,” he said.
The school is hoping to raise $11,000 to provide 25 outdoor tables.
