With kids out of school for the holiday, former Major League Baseball player Stephen Cardullo held another Dullozone Baseball Youth Clinic at Terramar Park Wednesday morning.

He had a special guest in attendance Roman Anthony, a 2022 graduate of MSD. Anthony was drafted in the second round of the MLB Draft and came out to inspire the younger players.

The kids worked on skills like hitting, defense, and pitching. They also played games such as golden gloves and home run derby, while winners received prizes from Cardullo’s professional career, including game-used bats and gloves. Marco Longaro of the Parkland Pokers was awarded MVP after winning the Home Run Derby.

Cardullo, who played at Florida State University and professionally with the Colorado Rockies. says these camps are a joy for him and wants to make sure the players have fun and feel great about themselves and their performance.

“Our camp environment is intended to build confidence in our youth,” Cardullo said. “I continue to explain that they must understand they are playing a game in which you experience failure more than success.”

He plans to hold several more events throughout the year with special guests assisting.
