Tomer Yair. {MSD Soccer}

Marjory Stoneman Douglas striker Tomer Yair from the boys soccer team officially announced his commitment to attend the Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.
Yair, who lives in Coral Springs, calls it a relief and a testament that his hard work throughout the years has paid off, but he knows he needs to put in the extra work.
“I am very excited to join the huskies next fall,” Yair said. “I am glad to reach the next level for soccer, and I am ready to work hard and join a family at Bloomsburg University.”
Yair began playing soccer at a very young age, as his parents say he was born with a soccer ball. After watching his older brother play, Yair knew he wanted to do the same and played in Little Tot Activities. He then moved on to play recreationally a few years later with the Coral Springs Youth Soccer and joined his first competitive team when he was nine with Coral Springs United. He played there for six years before transferring to the Parkland Soccer Club.
Yair has been on the varsity soccer team at MSD since he was a sophomore and has been a big part of the team’s success this season. Currently, the Eagles are 8-2 this year, with Yair leading the team in goals with seven and assists with five.
Still, Yair knows there is room for improvement before joining a successful soccer team that went 14-5-1 a season ago.
“I need to focus on improving my weak foot (right foot), my strength, and becoming more athletic,” Yair added. “I will be working extremely hard to develop my game into a college play style to where I can succeed at the next level.”
