The Marjory Stoneman Douglas girls volleyball team is officially headed to Regionals.
The Eagles are the fifth seed and will play fourth-seeded Cypress Bay High School for the second time this season. These two teams met on September 21, with the Lightning recording a five-set win.
MSD comes into the game with a record of 14-5 after advancing to the District Final before falling to Boca Raton Community High in four sets in the final. Cypress Bay went 20-6 this year and won a District Championship with their victory over Western High School. This match is set to start at Wednesday, October 25 at 7 p.m.
“We had a really close match against Cypress earlier in the season,” Head Coach Aidan Gidon said. “We’ve kept our heads down and put in a lot of work since then. As long as we execute the things we worked on, I’m confident that we’ll win this time.”
