A Parkland home was destroyed by fire early Friday morning, authorities said.
Around 3:30 a.m., the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department responded to a report of smoke in the area of 5400 Godfrey Road, according to the department.
Upon arrival, crews found a two-story home fully engulfed in flames in Butler Farms. No one was home at the time, authorities said.
Crews were still on the scene putting out hotspots at the home hours after the initial call. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and no cause has been announced.
