Rolando Lujo Hits First Career Home Run

Former Marjory Stoneman Douglas Star Rolando Lujo hit his first collegiate home run on Wednesday.
Rolando, the older brother of Rylan Lujo, who recently committed to the University of Dayton, is playing with Erskine College in South Carolina. He is also the grandson of former World Series Champion and the late Rennie Stennett.
“I know he would be so proud of both Rylan and me,” Rolando said. “He always preached about how he loved the game and his grandchildren. I just know that he is looking down at us with a smile.”
Rolando spent two seasons on the varsity baseball team but had one cut short due to COVID-19.despite only playing in eight games in 2020. Still, he hit .450, drove in a pair of RBIs, and scored eight runs before winning a State and National Championship with MSD in 2021.
