The Marjory Stoneman Douglas girls and boys bowling teams are doing well early in the season.
The boys’ team is led by Bryce Gregory, the son of Coach Mike Gregory, who has a 193 average. Other leading bowlers include Luke Munson, Connor Ogdon, Jason Zimbal, and Dylan Miller.
“We have a good team, and most of the boys have been bowling together for four years. I encourage the team to stay focused and prepare for the district meet,” said Mike.
Being the coach’s son has been an enjoyable experience for Bryce. “My father is a good coach and I want to bowl the best I can,” said Bryce.
The Eagles girls’ team is also looking good. Elizabeth Ferrigno, Hailey Glasgow, and Grace Wang have competed well early in the season, according to Mike, who believes they could do well in the district meet.
“I love bowling and meeting bowlers from other schools,” said Glasgow.
Ferrigno said she enjoys bowling after school and hopes to improve during the season.
