After a fabulous freshman season, a former Marjory Stoneman Douglas star lacrosse player is preparing for year two of college lacrosse.
Attending the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Jimenez was named to the Second All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Team. She also ranked second in the conference with 5.75 draws controls per game and finished fourth on the team with 20 goals and 23 assists.
Her most significant moment came against Lock Haven (Pennsylvania) when she scored her second game-winning goal this season. This one came in overtime and clinched a postseason berth for IUP. Her team finished the season with a 6-6 record before being beaten by Mercyhurst (Pennsylvania).

Jimenez, who didn’t start playing lacrosse until she moved to Parkland in sixth grade, was a member of the Second Team all District and Region team while playing varsity with the Eagles. The Parkland native scored 97 goals and recorded 37 assists as a two-time captain playing for Head Coach Kristina Stein.
Currently majoring in nursing, Jimenez will have three years with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and will have a chance to play one more due to COVID-19 rules granting players an additional year.
Her sophomore season starts against Ashland (Ohio) on February 28.
