One of the top players to come out of Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Addison Zajkowski, made her collegiate debut with Rollins College, recording a clean seventh inning in the team’s season opener.
The 2025 graduate from MSD entered the game with Rollins holding a 6–1 lead and needed just 15 pitches to retire the side and secure the final three outs. They went on to win the second game of the doubleheader, 5–1, improving to 2–0 for the eighth straight season.
“I definitely had some first-game jitters, but after getting two strikes on the first batter, I settled in and focused on working through the inning, one pitch at a time,” Zajkowksi said.
Zajkowski previously starred with the Eagles, spending three years on the varsity roster. She hit .311 during her high school career and had a standout senior season, blasting four home runs, collecting 17 doubles, and driving in 38 runs. In the circle, she also posted 10 wins with a 3.22 ERA.
Zajkowski will be back in action next at the Rollins Round Robin on February 14–15, when the Tars host doubleheaders against Auburn University Montgomery and Angelo State University.
