Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Parkland through July 6.
A Lennar Homes Sales Representative reported an air mattress was in an upstairs bedroom of one of the model homes in Parkland Bay on July 5. She also reported soft drinks and beer in the fridge and laundry in the washer of the same house.
Several building and sales managers have access to the structure and there was no forced entry and nothing missing.
Battery
7191 N State Road 7 – Shoppes of Parkland
On June 30, the caller advised there was a dispute between herself and her classmate, which became physical.
Burglary
12100 block of NW 76th Pl – The Greens in Heron Bay
On July 1, an estimated $16,000 worth of different items were taken. A terminated rental agreement was signed on 7/1/2020 and affixed to the front door. There were no signs of forced entry, and the front deadbolt was changed upon the owner’s return. Items removed are possibly civil-related.
Criminal Mischief
5400 block of NW 80th Ter – Whispering Woods
On June 30, an unknown person entered an open construction site home and broke a hurricane window and a door. The estimated amount of damage $2,700.
12500 block of S Parkland Bay Trail – Parkland Bay
On July 6, a Lennar Homes Construction Manager reported an impact glass window of a house under construction damaged with an unknown blunt object. The window was damaged between July 2 – July 6.
Found Property
6650 University Dr, Parkland – BSO
On July 1, a good Samaritan turned over a found Apple iPhone.

8100 block of NW 122nd – Heron Bay
On July 2, a resident believed that her phones and home are being tapped by outside sources.
6200 block of NW 66th Ave – Pine Tree Estates
On July 3, a disturbance at a residence. No threats of violence made. The caller did not wish to make a police report. The caller mentioned nine subjects renting the listed residence. Forwarded to code for review.
5800 block of NW 75th Way – Pine Tree Estates
On July 4, while on patrol on NW 75th Way, a BSO deputy’s vehicle sideswiped a mailbox. According to the homeowner, no damage was sustained to the mailbox. Minor paint transfer on the patrol vehicle.
6300 block of NW 74th Terr – Pine Tree Estates
On July 4, there was a code enforcement violation. The resident was having roof work done by a crew on July 4, in violation of City of Parkland list of ordinances
