Incidents
Assisting Other Agency
On March 24, deputies assisted Coral Springs Police in identifying a former student who fled from officers.
Information (Unfounded Incident)
Reported March 24. A delayed juvenile disturbance involving a prank at a pool party was investigated. Allegations that a video of a partially nude student was recorded and shared were determined to be unfounded.
Fraud / Identity Dispute
Reported March 24. A victim reported being served court documents for unpaid credit card debt and claimed the account was opened by an ex-spouse without consent.
Attempted Identity Theft
Reported March 24. A victim reported unauthorized use of personal and business email accounts and attempts to open credit cards in their name, possibly by a known suspect.
Domestic Disturbance (Non-Crime)
March 25. An individual rang a resident’s doorbell and left a note. No threats or contact occurred. The subject was warned to follow a custody agreement.
Indecent Exposure
March 25. A woman reported a man exposed himself outside BJ’s Wholesale Club before fleeing on a bicycle. The suspect was not located.
Retail Theft (CVS Pharmacy)
March 25. A suspect stole approximately $327 worth of merchandise, including dozens of toothpaste boxes, and left the store without paying.
Trespassing – Heron Bay
March 26. A tow truck driver entered a gated community without authorization while attempting a repossession. He was warned and advised that he could be arrested if it happened again.
Domestic Disturbance (Non-Crime)
March 27. A boyfriend refused to leave a residence after multiple requests. A trespass warning was issued.
Information (Medical Call)
March 27. Fire Rescue responded to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School for a student who was not feeling well.
Suspicious Person / No Crime
March 27. A man was found clearing debris on a vacant lot. He stated he was voluntarily cleaning and arranging pickup. No criminal activity was observed.
Domestic Disturbance (Non-Crime)
March 27. A verbal dispute occurred between separated parents regarding custody of their child. No physical altercation was reported.
Information (Welfare Concern)
March 28. Deputies responded to concerns about a resident driving despite mobility issues. The individual appeared disoriented, and deputies safely returned them to their facility.
Domestic Battery
March 28. A victim reported being pushed multiple times by a family member during a domestic incident.
Domestic Disturbance (Non-Crime)
March 29. A dispute occurred during a child exchange. No physical altercation took place.
Criminal Mischief (Vandalism)
March 29. A sink inside a park restroom was destroyed. No suspects were identified.
Identity Theft (Delayed Report)
Reported March 24. A victim’s identity was used to make a purchase through a financing service.
Assist Other Agency / Wire Fraud Investigation
Reported March 24. A delayed case involving suspected wire fraud in multiple states.
Fraud – Credit Card
March 27. A victim reported a credit card opened in their name, with $250 spent on merchandise shipped to another city. The account was closed.
