Parkland weekly Crime Update by Parkland Talk

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through August 7, 2023.

Threats / Intimidation

A victim of Threats / Intimidation on N Lago Vista Circle was reported on 08/01/2023. The victim stated that he began receiving messages on Instagram from his followers.


A victim of Information on NW 66 Way was reported on 08/01/2023. The victim has been receiving text messages from unknown persons asking for sexual favors from her. The text messages came from three different numbers. The text included photos of her that she had taken herself.

Information on Holmberg Road/NW 66 Avenue was reported on 08/05/2023. The reporting person found a dog wandering down the block of Holmberg Road. The dog was brought to the station and placed inside. A message was left for Animal Control.

Information on NW 109 Lane was reported on 08/05/2023. The resident gave birth at home and was transported to Coral Springs Medical Center.

Burglary Conveyance

A victim of Burglary Conveyance on Carrington Avenue was reported on 08/03/2023. The total estimated loss was $400. The victim left the vehicle unlocked. The suspects entered the car and stole black Givenchy Sunglasses valued at $400.00.

A victim of Burglary Conveyance on Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 08/06/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,040. The vehicle was unlocked, but the victim had the key fob in his possession. He drove to pick up groceries and advised that he left a black Samsung Note cellphone worth $1000 on the middle console of his 2022 grey Kia K5 that was stolen.

Domestic Disturbance

Domestic Disturbance on NW 127 Terrace was reported on 08/05/2023. A juvenile caller advised he heard his parents yelling and screaming.

Theft – All Other

The City Of Parkland was a victim of Theft – All Other on Trails End was reported on 08/06/2023. The total estimated loss was $100. The $100 was missing from the cash register.

Animal Abuse / Neglect

The State of Florida was a victim of Animal Abuse/Neglect on Old Club Road in Parkland Golf & Country Club was reported on 08/07/2023. An unidentified juvenile disturbed a burrowing owl’s habitat by covering it with dirt and rocks. The Property Manager notified the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conversation Commission.
