Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through May 8, 2023.
Theft
A victim of Theft – All Other on Meridian Dive E. was reported on 05/02/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,400. The victim advised that company property was never returned after the employee resigned. The employee has ignored the company’s request to return the property.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 05/05/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,200. A Ford 150 Raptor & Mercedes 4D were unlocked and gone through. A Lenovo laptop and a solid silver bracelet were removed from the vehicles.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 05/05/2023. The total estimated loss was: $300. A Gray Toyota Pick Up, a Toyota SUV vehicle left unlocked, a pair of Gucci sunglasses was removed from the center console of the white Toyota SUV, but nothing was removed from Gray Toyota Pick Up.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 05/05/2023. The total estimated loss was: $5,800. The suspects entered the victim’s unlocked Chevy Tahoe. A Louis Vuitton purse and a Louis Vuitton backpack were removed from the Tahoe.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 66 Way. 2 unknown subjects entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed items. The total estimated loss was: $400 and was reported on 05/05/2023.
Animal Bite
A victim of an Animal Bite on N State Road 7 was reported on 05/05/2023. The victim’s dog was involved in an incident with another dog and was bitten by that dog. The other dog owner was gone on arrival.
Fire
Bell Parkland Apartment was a Fire victim at 5851 Holmberg Road and was reported on 05/07/2023. The fire was located at the north pool house in a group of palm trees outside the pool house fence. Coral Springs/Parkland Fire Rescue and Coconut Creek extinguished the small fire.
