Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through January 17, 2022.
Burglary Residence
NW 62nd Pl.
A 71-year old male was the victim of Burglary Residence on 01/11/2022. The homeowner advised that when he and his wife returned home, they heard their alarm. BSO responded as the homeowner stated all was well and to cancel.
Two days later, he noticed that the back bedroom sliding glass door was pushed slightly off track and the locking mechanism was damaged, coinciding with the alarm from two nights ago. The homeowner advised that he and his wife will review the home security footage and advise.

Hillsboro Blvd.
On 1/11/2022, a woman alleged that an unknown subject began a verbal dispute with her in a parking lot.
Old Club Rd.
On 01/11/2022, a caller wished to report an incident between her child and an adult in which the adult scolded her child. No crime was committed and the caller wished to document the incident.
5901 Pine Island Rd.
On 01/14/2022, a Marjory Stoneman Douglas student violated entry protocols at MSD and appeared suspicious to MSD security staff. Code Red was called in order to locate the individual who was later identified as an MSD student. Code Red was lifted and the school resumed normal operations.
University Dr.
On 01/13/2022, reporting person brought a firearm to the BSO District office and turned it in for safekeeping. The firearm was received, entered into property, and transported to BSO Crime Lab as required by policy.
Auto Theft

On 01/13/2022, BSO made contact with the reporting person in reference to his rental trailer being stolen by an unknown subject(s) without his permission or authority.
Theft
No Address Listed
On 01/16/2022, a victim reported that his Mezuzah was missing from his front door. Tot. Est. Loss: $755.
