Former Marjory Stoneman Douglas’ first baseman, Matt Ossenfort, is set to attend NC State University this upcoming year, joining teammate Devin Fitz-Gerald.
Ossenfort, a 2023 graduate from Marjory Stoneman Douglas, won a State Championship in his lone year with the Eagles, hit ten home runs, and drove in 35 RBIs with the Eagles to lead them to their undefeated season.
During the summer, he won the Cal Ripken Sr. League Most Outstanding Hitter and played his first year at Vanderbilt University. He recorded his first career hit with a home run against Valparaiso and had an RBI double in his first SEC game against Missouri.
Ossenort is set to play for a team that reached the College World Series and finished with an overall record of 38-23.
Fitz-Gerald is draft-eligible this year and finished high school with four State Championships, including three National Championships. He was named a Second Team All-American after hitting .409 with five home runs, 26 RBIs, and 36 runs scored.
NC State University is located in Raleigh.
