Gio Rojas. {954 Preps}
One of the most dominant high school baseball pitchers in the country, Gio Rojas, played for Team USA 18U, helping them win their 11h World Cup Title and earning All-World Honors.
Rojas pitched a total of 11 innings, making two starts, and did not allow a run. He pitched in the Super Round and tossed a complete game shutout, allowing only two hits and striking out 10 against Korea. He became the first pitcher to toss a complete game shutout for Team USA, which came from Ben Hernandez in the 2019 WBSC.
“We came out with the right energy, especially bouncing back from the previous night,” Rojas said postgame.“I came out and I did what I do best, and I tried to perform for my team. I had a lot of confidence on the mound, especially with my team behind me.”
A University of Miami commit, Rojas plays high school baseball at Marjory Stoneman Douglas and has won the last two State Championships and the 2025 National Title. He went 12-0 and pitched to an ERA of .72 this past season. Rojas also struck out 128 batters in 68 innings and allowed only 35 hits, while he heads into his final season with the Eagles.
