On Friday, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas soccer teams were back in action in the Regional Semifinals.
The girls picked up a 6-0 win over Coral Reef High School to move to 14-1-2. They are set to play  Cypress Bay High School in the Regional Final following their 2-1 win over Doral Academy. The Lightning are 16-0-4 this year and played to a 2-2 draw against MSD earlier this year. They beat Western High School 2-1 to secure their District Championship. Kick-off is set for Wednesday, February 21, at 7 p.m. in Parkland.
The boys fell in their Regional Semifinal game 1-0 against Doral Academy and finished the season 8-6-3. The Eagles won a District Championship and their first game of Regionals, but they will have Jayveer Selveraj, and Dillon Morozov. Joaquin Guerrero, Henrique Smith, Soren Chris Jacobsen, Lukas Avila, and Daniel Tiplea all graduate this year.
