The Marjory Stoneman Douglas boys soccer team is the District Champions following a 2-0 win over Monarch High School on Monday.
After the game was tied at the end of regulation, the two teams went into overtime, and Aquiles Yiribin scored off a header for the game-winning goal. He then added a second goal in overtime to secure the 2-0 win.
“It felt great,” Yiribin said. “The best experience I have I have ever had in my life.”
The Eagles improved to 7-5-3 and await to see who they will play in Regionals. MSD qualified last year but lost against Monarch High School.
