Cannoli and Minnie {Broward County Animal Care}
Broward County Animal Care is spotlighting two special companions this week—Cannoli, a spirited senior Labrador Retriever mix, and Minnie, a gentle Domestic Shorthair cat—both eagerly waiting for a second chance at love.
Cannoli: A Loyal Lab with Plenty of Love to Give
Cannoli, an 8-year-old Labrador Retriever mix, was found sick and stray in Cooper City back in April. Since arriving at the shelter, this senior pup has made a remarkable recovery and is now full of energy and affection.
Don’t let his age fool you—Cannoli still has a playful streak. After getting out a few zoomies, he’s happiest lying at your feet, soaking up love and attention. He’s already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped—ready to go home today.
Thanks to a generous sponsorship from The Pet Project, Cannoli comes with a lifetime of perks, including free food, vaccines, monthly preventatives, and discounted medical care. If you’re looking for a cuddly, devoted companion, Cannoli may be the perfect fit for your family.
Minnie: A Snuggly Cat Looking for a Second Chance
Minnie, just a year old, is a sweet and affectionate Domestic Shorthair with a heart full of love. She and her best friend Danny were previously adopted together but recently returned to the shelter, where they were originally adopted just a year ago.
Despite the unexpected turn, Minnie remains affectionate and optimistic. She enjoys gentle petting and loves cuddling up with Danny for cozy naps. Ideally, the bonded pair would love to find a forever home together, bringing double the warmth and companionship to their next family.
Visit, Adopt, or Foster
Cannoli and Minnie are currently available for adoption at Broward County Animal Care, located at 2400 SW 42nd Street in Fort Lauderdale. All pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption fees include a $25 Broward County Registration Tag.
