Marjory Stoneman Douglas flag football star Daria Boykin is officially committed to playing at Alabama State University.
She is set to join her former high school teammate and captain, Morgan Goldman, who recently competed in the school’s inaugural season.
“It felt like a dream come true because I would have never thought I would be committing to a D1 college,” Boykin said. “I like the coach, the players, and the school as well.”
Boykin began playing flag football during her junior year, which was also the Eagles’ first District Championship since 2010. Her team went on to win a second straight title during her senior year and finished her high school career with 385 receiving yards. She also had three receiving touchdowns and pulled 70 flags, while her team went 13-2 both years. Boykin hopes to improve her football IQ and remain open-minded to learn as much as possible.
