Parkland resident, legal analyst, and attorney Kaysia M. Earley will host a community event on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marriott Coral Springs Hotel & Convention Center to launch her memoir and raise funds for hurricane recovery in Jamaica.
The event will introduce Earley’s new memoir, Houses Built by Faith: Jailhouse. God’s House. Courthouse., while serving as an urgent fundraiser supporting Jamaica’s rebuilding efforts following one of the most catastrophic storms in the island’s recent history.
According to organizers, 50% of all proceeds will directly support recovery projects through Seeds of Manna, Inc., a Parkland-connected 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing relief, supplies, and structural aid to the most affected communities.
The initiative has gained attention across South Florida’s Caribbean and civic circles. Confirmed attendees include Consul General Oliver Mair, Mayor Denise Grant, Commissioner John T. Hodgson, and media outlets such as the Jamaica Observer, Westside Gazette, and Caribbean News Weekly. Organizers expect the gathering to bring together local leaders, professionals, and members of the Jamaican diaspora.
Parkland residents are encouraged to attend “and show that Parkland stands with communities in crisis,” organizers said.
While the event centers on a book release, its underlying purpose is humanitarian — extending compassion beyond the city to help restore homes, hope, and stability in Jamaica.
