Baker Act
May 13 — A female with a traumatic brain injury was transported to Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Hospital after threatening self-harm and expressing suicidal thoughts during a domestic disturbance.
May 15 — A man was taken into protective custody and transported to Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Hospital after stating he wanted to hurt himself.
Burglary
May 9–14 — A license plate was stolen from a trailer at a construction site. Estimated loss: $20.

May 16 — Two masked suspects forced open a rear sliding door and stole more than $150,000 worth of valuables from a residence.
Battery – Domestic Violence
May 17 — a woman was arrested for striking her mother during a verbal altercation. The victim sustained bruising on her forearm.

Fraud – Identity Theft
Nov. 24, 2024 – May 15, 2025 — A suspect used a woman’s identity to submit a fraudulent rental application.
Information Reports
Apr. 24 – May 14 — A man reported an ex-girlfriend continues to contact him after a six-month affair.
May 14 — A school campus monitor was removed from the property at the request of administrators.
May 14 — A woman reported ongoing concerning behavior from a neighbor. No threats or history of violence were discovered.
May 15 — Deputies checked on a residence and found no signs of domestic violence.
May 15 — A firearm, ammunition, and concealed carry permits were surrendered following a restraining order.
May 16 — A juvenile was observed carrying what turned out to be a pellet air rifle after a neighborhood party.
May 17 — A civil dispute between a construction company and a caller was resolved on scene.
May 18 — A bicyclist was injured after colliding with a security gate and was transported to Broward Health Coral Springs.
May 18 — Deputies investigated an online threat reported via FortifyFL from a social media account.
May 15 — Investigators reviewed details related to a 1988 cold case homicide reported in Pompano Beach.
Arrests
May 17 — Lesley Ann Sawdye, 33, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.
