Parkland Crime Update: Screen Cut And Bike Stolen Off Patio

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through April 24, 2023.

Burglary Residence

A victim of a Burglary Residence on Holmberg Road was reported on 04/18/2023. The total estimated loss was $500. Unknown suspect(s) cut the screen covering her rear patio and stole a black cruiser (adult bicycle) with an attached rack custom to her Topeak child seat. 


A victim of Battery on W Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 04/20/2023. The victim said he was involved in an altercation in which one subject spit on him and then attempted to strike him.

A victim of Battery on NW 109th Lane was reported on 04/21/2023. A male was found to be the primary aggressor and placed under arrest.

Disorderly Conduct

A victim of Disorderly Conduct on N State Road 7 was reported on 04/23/2023. Multiple 911 calls were placed to Parkland and Coral Springs about a reckless driver at the gas station who was revving his pick-up truck engine and blowing thick exhaust smoke toward the victim’s face, who was filling his vehicle tires with air. The driver repeated these same actions after circling the gas station three times. Further, multiple witness accounts described the same driver moving his truck forward and reversing it repeatedly as if he were going to hit the victim’s vehicle. The driver/offender was charged with Disorderly Conduct for disrupting the normal operations of the gas station.

Theft – All Other

A victim of Theft – All Other NW 81 Street was reported on 04/24/2023. The total estimated loss was $959. The victim stated Amazon delivered two packages to his residence on 04/22/2023. When he arrived home on 04/23/2023, he only saw one package outside his door. The victim believes one of the packages was stolen.

Animal Bite

A victim of an Animal Bite on Parkside Drive was reported on 04/24/2023. While riding her bike along the sidewalk, a medium-sized black and white dog on a leash lunged at the victim as she passed the dog and its owner. The victim advised the dog bit her on her left leg, causing noticeable pain. 


Perry, Raymond, 48, was arrested on a Burglary-Structure Occupied/Unarmed charge at Holmberg Road on 04/21/2023.
