Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Parkland through November 4. Names of those not arrested have been redacted.
Auto Theft
10200 block of NW 60 Place – Water’s Edge at Parkland
On November 1, a silver Lincoln was stolen overnight. The keys were in the car. The owner parked her car overnight at her mother’s home, and she awoke to car gone. The area was canvassed with negative results.
Arrestable Traffic Violation
6000 Holmberg Road
On November 4, a vehicle was stopped for speeding. The driver had a suspended driver’s license with three prior convictions for driving without a license. He was arrested and booked into the Broward County Jail.
Battery
8100 block of Edgewater Place – MiraLago
On October 30, two female adults were involved in a physical altercation. Each party committed a battery on one another. One female was pregnant and transported to Coral Springs Medical Center. The female in the hospital was charged out of custody. The other female was arrested at the scene.
Burglary Conveyance
10200 block of NW 60 Place – Water’s Edge at Parkland
On November 1, the victim reported a delayed burglary conveyance in which two unlocked vehicles were entered while parked in the driveway during the night. There were no exterior cameras.
Information
10900 block of Coral Street
On October 29, a Ridgeway Plumbing employee ruptured the gas line while digging a trench adjacent to the house under construction. TECO Gas responded and turned off the gas line. Coral Springs Fire Department was on the scene.
10800 block of NW 80 Circle – Heron Bay
On October 31, deputies responded when the guard gate arm bounced off the roof of a Broward County School bus, which was entering the community. There were no injuries or damage.
8000 block of NW 115 Way
On October 31, the victim reported damage to their door frame. They were worried about a possible burglary attempt. The damage appeared to be caused by the door lock being out, and it may have bumped the wood.
8900 block of West Miralago Way – MiraLago
On October 31, the head security guard called BSO to report an unknown male who tried to gain entry into the MiraLago main gate without permission.
9400 block of Old Club Road – Parkland Golf and Country Club
On November 1, a school bus was struck by the gate arm as it entered the community. There was no damage to the bus, no damage to the gate, and no injuries were reported.
5900 block of NW 59 Ave
On November 4, a homeowner discovered cannabis in her house. She turned over the cannabis to law enforcement.
Information – Civil Dispute
6300 block of NW 77 Terrace
On October 29, the victim reported she had paid half of her contract for a well install and water hook-up, and the residents were not happy with the company’s work.
7800 block of NW 62 Way
On October 30, the reportee stated she received several text messages along with a picture of an arm with a large cut from an Instagram account indicating that her ex-girlfriend was dead. She then responded to the residence to make sure her ex-girlfriend was ok. During the investigation, the subject stated she didn’t send any threatening text messages or a picture of an arm to her ex-girlfriend. The subject did not meet the Baker Act criteria.
Schools
11000 Holmberg Road – Westglades Middle School
On October 30, the school reported an incident involving two students on campus during dismissal. The school administration handled it.

On October 31, information was received regarding MSD Students who were threatening to jump a Westglades Middle School student, possibly involving weapons.
