Parkland weekly Crime Update by Parkland Talk

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through September 18, 2023.

Fraud

A victim of Fraud – All Other was reported on 09/12/2023. The total estimated loss was $600. The reporting person advised that she hired someone to install granite countertops in her residence, and she paid the subject, but he never showed up to begin the job.

A victim of Fraud – All Other was reported on 09/13/2023. The total estimated loss was $2,300. The reporting person said he was hired to do a landscaping job and was paid by check. When he went to withdraw the funds, he was notified that the account was empty.

Auto Theft

A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 09/14/2023. The vehicle was stolen from the driveway, left unlocked, with the key fob left inside.

Criminal Mischief

A victim of Criminal Mischief on Blue Isle Bay was reported on 09/14/2023. The victim advised that the rear driver-side tire of her 2022 Genesis GV70 SUV was slashed.

Theft

A victim of Theft – All Other on NW 62 Terrace was reported on 09/14/2023. The victim advised the suspect stole her driver’s license and refused to give it back after both parties were involved in a verbal altercation, and the victim fired the suspect from cleaning her residence.

Information

Information on W Miralago Way was reported on 09/16/2023. The reporting person stated he had a verbal altercation and then was threatened by ten juveniles on bicycles and scooters. A juvenile arrived on the scene and gave a conflicting account of the incident.

Arrests

Paul, Fritzson, 38, was arrested on a charge of Larceny Petit Theft Merch Farm Transit $100 Lt $750 on W Hillsboro Blvd on 09/14/2023.
