Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through January 22, 2024.
Property Damage
A victim of Property Damage on 01/16/2024. The vehicle owner wanted a report because the gate bar came down on his vehicle while passing through the gate at the Falls community.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on 01/18/2024. The total estimated loss was $3,740. The Deputy met with the caller, who advised her vehicle was broken into, and her Louis Vuitton purse was stolen from under her driver’s seat. The bag contained a wallet, three credit cards, FL DL, and $40 cash.
Lost Property
A victim of Lost Property on 01/18/2024. A Parkland resident caller said his wife lost the diamond from her engagement ring. The ring is valued at $42,000, as two prongs broke. It is believed that the diamond is somewhere in the home. The caller requested a report, as the ring is insured.
Information
Information on 01/19/2024. The resident advised two unknown teens on an electric bike rammed into her front door.
Threats / Intimidation
A victim of Threats / Intimidation on 01/19/2024. The complainant reported a large group of juveniles on bicycles surrounded her vehicle after she asked them to move and yelled obscenities at her 10-year-old daughter and her friends.
