It’s the who’s who of lacrosse at the IMG Academy during the MLK holiday weekend. Highly attended by Division I college coaches, the National Lacrosse Federation Futures Showcase is the place to be if college lacrosse is on your radar.
The Team 91 Titans have several of their players who were handpicked by their coaches and directors for their level of play and ability to represent the sunshine state against players from lacrosse hotbeds, such as Maryland, Long Island and Massachusetts.
Handpicked Titans players were: JD Meyer and Giovanni Zanoni (Bradenton, FL), Maddox Johnson, Corey Bloss, Mack Gray and Caleb Coleman (Ponte Verde, FL), Michael Evans, Matthew Evans, Ethan Streiner, Alec Gregorek and Liam Gregorek (Parkland, FL), Marcus Acevedo and Zachary Brent (Boca Raton, FL).
“Any time you have a chance to challenge a player and put them up against the best, that’s something you have to prioritize if you want them to grow as an athlete,” said Team 91 Titans Director, Natalie Gregorek.
The players will be trained for two days by an A-List lineup of Division I College Coaches and they’ll compete on day three for the NLF Futures Championship.
“I have no doubt that my players will contribute to the success of whichever team they are placed on at this event,” said Coach Jamie Evans.
