Guesmirde Lamarre {BSO}
A woman was arrested after making a false 911 call that led to heightened security at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, and Monarch High School was released from jail after posting a bond.
According to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office incident report, on March 10 at approximately 10:01 a.m., a woman – later identified as Guesmirde Lamarre, 21, of Coral Springs, called 911 in reporting that a man, of which she provided a name, had posted a Snapchat story threatening to attack one of the two schools.
The report shows that deputies immediately launched an investigation, leading Threat Management Unit detectives to locate the man at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Coral Springs.
Upon questioning, Pancorvo denied posting any threats and stated that he had not uploaded a Snapchat story in two weeks. He also revealed that he had known Lamarre since ninth grade but had faced ongoing harassment from her after graduating high school.
The man alleged that she had repeatedly shown up at his home uninvited, called him from blocked numbers, tagged him in social media posts, and left him disturbing voice messages. His mother had previously filed for a restraining order against Lamarre after she attempted to enter his home, which the report shows was documented on their Ring doorbell camera.
Detectives then visited the Lamarre’s residence and contacted her in the driveway. During questioning, she admitted to calling 911 but claimed that she had received a screenshot of the alleged Snapchat threat from a girl named “Sierra.” However, she could not provide Sierra’s last name or contact information and stated that she had deleted the screenshot.
The report shows no evidence of any recent threats found upon further investigation, including a review of Pancorvo’s Snapchat account. Lamarre later admitted that she had a vision or dream the previous night about the man carrying out a school shooting and that the threat was never actually on Snapchat.
Due to the false report, MSD was placed on high alert while detectives investigated the threat. Once Lamarre admitted to making up the story, an all-clear was issued.
Lamarre was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail. She was later released after posting a $650 bond.
