The Marjory Stoneman Douglas softball team returned to the field on Tuesday and picked up an impressive 12-4 win over Westminster Academy.
Isabella Silva led the way with two doubles and drove in three, while Antonia Nelke also had three RBIs and two hits. Myah Boleen, Victoria Diaz, and Lucia Perez all drove in runs. Addison Zajkowski earned the win on the mound. She tossed three innings and allowed only one earned run before Victoria Diaz earned the save, recording the final 12 outs.
The Eagles improved to 6-4 this season and will play Spanish River Community High School in their next game on Thursday, April 4, at 6:30 p.m. The Sharks are 3-5 this year and lost 3-2 in 12 innings in their only meeting with MSD in 2023.
