The Marjory Stoneman Douglas track and field team had a remarkable season during the Regionals.
The boys top result came in the 4 x 100 relay with Sahil Sule, Krish Sule, Connor Stallings, and Ethan Engleman. They finished in 11th place while Stalling also placed 14th in 100 meters and 19th in 200 and 400 meters. Sule impressed in the 110 hurdles, coming in 13th place and 19th in the 100 meters. Austin Khayyami also came in 15th in the long jump and 16th in the triple jump. Matthew Rosenberg and Austin Khayyami also competed individually.
The girls also shined in the 4 x 100 relay with Samara Osouna, Jamie Faust, Alexis Freckleton, and Naomi Grissette. They came in fifth while Mikayla Ryan, Kalli Wheeler, Antonella Rodriguez, and Mia Fernandez ran in the 4 x 400 relay. Samanta Bandres Chourio finished seventh in the 100 hurdles, and Naomi Grissette came in the same spot in the triple jump. Sophia Zengotita finished eighth in the 3200 meters, while Ella Schwartz, Mikayla Ryan, Taylor Strauss, and Alexis Freckleton all finished in the top ten.
The Eagles also recognized their seniors Kaleb Ali, Ernest Anicet, Ethan Engelman, Julian Herrera, Veer Kapoor, Jaron McClellan, Damien Miller, Joel Nast, Ethan Schwartzman, Krish Sule, Riley Anders, Bella Bronkhorst, Jamie Faust, Lucia Giraldo, Maya Medrano, Anikanylah Michel and Ella Schwartz during their banquet.
