This is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through April 15, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents.
Animal Bite
Information/ Animal Bite was reported on 04/09/2024. A dog owner advised that another dog attacked her dog and it was the second incident she is aware of with the same dog. A previous incident generated a police report in March. The caller`s dog had puncture marks on its right ear. Broward Animal Control was given the owner’s information and will follow up with both parties. The owner of the alleged aggressive dog was told to leave by a Park Ranger.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 04/10/2024. During a disciplinary conversation, the juvenile got upset at his mother and stepfather, at which time he proceeded to physically strike his stepfather several times.
Information
Information was reported on 04/10/2024. The reporting person advised that she saw a post on the Instagram account of a known person that mentioned something about homicide. Contact was made with the person who posted the comment, and she advised that it was done as a joke because of all the posts showing all the girls out with some guy she used to like.
Arrests
Grant, Ryan Anthony, 32, was arrested on a charge of Cruelty Toward Child-Abuse Child Without Great Bodily Harm on 04/09/2024.
Daniels, Olivia A, 24, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 04/15/2024.
