The much-anticipated Parkland Dash is back, offering participants a chance to run or walk for a great cause.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 13, 2024, and lace up your running shoes for a morning of fitness at Pine Trails Park.
Whether you’re an avid runner or prefer a stroll, there’s a distance for everyone with the 5k (3.1 miles), 5-mile, and 1-mile walk/run options.
Registration for the Parkland Dash runs through October 12 at 11:59 p.m. Sign up before registration closes to secure your spot in this fun and charitable event at Parkland Dash.
This year’s event supports Make Our Schools Safe, a national 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to ensuring the safety of students and teachers.
Make Our Schools Safe empowers students and staff to maintain a culture of vigilance and preparedness. Their approach includes survival training and scenario-based education to protect against potential threats, including active shooter situations. As they work alongside security experts, the organization aims to make safety drills a natural part of every school’s routine, similar to fire drills.
All registered participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt and finisher medal (while supplies last). Additionally, awards will be given to the top three male and female overall finishers for both the 5K and 5-mile races.
