Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through February 6, 2024.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 01/30/2024. Upon arrival, the Deputy met with the victim, who told her neighbors to get off her property.
A verbal altercation started, and the offender grabbed the victim and pulled her toward him by the jacket, and a physical altercation began. Both parties had minor injuries.
Threat Assessment
Threat Assessment Report was reported on 01/31/2024. A threat assessment was conducted on a Juvenile Male.
Animal Bite
A victim of Animal Bite was reported on 01/31/2024. The reporting person advised that her dog was bitten by another dog that had escaped from a fenced property through an unsecured front gate. The victim’s dog received a deep puncture wound to the left ear.
Property Damage
A victim of Property Damage on Solstice Circle was reported on 02/02/2024. The reporting person advised a suspected vehicle damaged the exit side of the arm of the gate.
Information
Information was reported on 02/02/2024. The reporting person advised that while he was outside of his property, he observed a subject, which he has a restraining order against, park his vehicle at the intersection and was standing next to it. The Deputy utilized his calibrated laser to measure from the complaint’s residence to the actual stop sign where the subject’s vehicle was parked. It measures just under 600 hundred feet. The subject did not enter the 500 feet radius; therefore, he did not violate the injunction terms. As a result, no arrest was made.
Theft
A victim of Theft – All Other on N State Road 7 was reported on 2/04/2024. The total estimated loss was $200. The victim was having his vehicle completely washed and cleaned at the car wash. During this time, the unknown suspect removed his Apple Air Pod Pro from the center console without his permission.
Arrests
Hunt, Lloyd, Oliver, 72, was arrested on a charge of Warrant/Writ Of Bodily Attachment/Bond on 01/30/2024.
Puranik, Viraj, 55, was arrested on a charge of Battery-Cause Bodily Harm on 01/30/2024.
Bennette, Jaysharree, 31, was arrested on a charge of Cocaine-Possess-Possess Cocaine at 2861 W Broward Blvd on 01/31/2024.
