Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Parkland through July 15. Names of those not arrested have been redacted.
Battery
7400 block of NW 70th Ave
On July 11 at 5:45 a.m., a process server was shoved by a Hispanic female, while he was serving her papers.
9600 block of Waterview Way
On July 12, a female victim reported that an unknown female suspect battered her while she was walking her dog. The suspect arrived in a green older model jeep and was verbally abusive to the victim. The victim had never seen the suspect before. Police were unable to make contact with the suspect.
Suspicious Person
10200 block of Majestic Tr. – Parkland Estates
A report was taken of a suspicious male seen driving through the community around 6:15 p.m. on July 10, and again seen at approximately 9:50 p.m. exiting from the south side exterior of the reporting person`s residence. The reporting person believes the suspicious male may have taken a photograph of his children who were walking in the community earlier that evening. No victims were listed.
Theft
8095 University Drive – Publix Parkland Commons
On July 8, the victim advised that an unknown person removed his black wallet and key fob to his vehicle from a shopping cart in the parking lot after he exited Publix. The wallet contained three credit cards, his driver’s license, and $500 cash.
10555 Trails End – Pine Trails Park
On July 11, around 10 p.m., police made telephone contact with the victim in reference to a delayed theft of an Apple iPhone X at Pine Trails Park.

On July 15, a person(s) unknown removed two separate cell phones from the backpacks of two separate victims that were playing basketball. The phones were both Apple iPhone X’s, valued at $1,200 and $900. Both services were canceled, and no suspects were provided.
Information
10700 block of Shore Street
On July 9, a Lennar Homes Project Manager reported shower fixtures and appliances were found missing in three homes that were under construction.
8000 block of NW 110th Drive
On July 14, the victim reported that an unknown person(s) was ordering various food deliveries to her residence over the last six months.
Auto Theft
5900 block of Hillsboro Blvd – Shoppes at Parkland
On July 11, deputies took a report of a stolen black colored minivan, that was last seen parked across from the Dollar Tree storefront in the parking lot. The vehicle was not listed in the tow log. The owner had the vehicle key fob in her possession at the time of the report, and no keys were left inside the vehicle.
Burglary Conveyance
7300 block of North State Road 7 – Riverstone Shoppes
On July 11, a report was taken of a vehicle conveyance. The victim advised there was nothing of value inside the vehicle, and nothing was removed. The victim observed a male wearing short dreadlocks inside her vehicle. The suspect was gone on arrival after being seen by the victim and left in a late model Nissan Altima with an unknown Florida Tag.
8000 block of NW 127th Lane – Heron Bay Cypress Pointe
Sometime between 9:00 p.m. on July 14 and 4:30 a.m. on July 15, an unknown suspect(s) unlawfully entered six unlocked vehicles in the Cypress Pointe community of Heron Bay. The unknown suspect(s) rummaged through the vehicles, then threw all the personal contents of the vehicle out onto the driveways and grass area. The doors to the vehicles were all found open. No reported items were missing or damaged from the contents found from each vehicle. The vehicles were processed, and the area was canvassed. There were no witnesses, and no video cameras were located.
Property Damage
6650 University Drive – Broward County Sheriff Department
On July 11, the passenger side front rim and tire of a BSO marked unit were damaged by unknown means.
Found Property
6575 NW 76th Drive – Terramar Park
On July 12, a black leather non-folding card wallet with ID and a debit card was found in the parking lot of the park. The owner of the property was located and given possession of it.
Animal Bite
6000 block of NW 72nd Way – Pine Tree Estates
On July 14, the complainant advised that she was bitten by her dog while trying to separate him and her son’s dog from fighting. The complainant suffered a laceration to her left leg above the ankle and was transported to Northwest Medical Center by Coral Springs Fire Rescue for treatment.
