“This group of girls are very humble, hard-working and deserved this win, said Head Coach Christian Raudales. “There’s a lot of new faces on the team this year, but they’ve really dedicated themselves to grow individually, and this tournament was just a result of their dedication during the last 7-8 months.”

Parkland travel soccer also officially held its end-of-the-year picnic and handed out nine scholarships to high school seniors on Saturday.

Players and referees (14+) applied by submitting an essay about what playing and officiating in Parkland soccer has meant to them, dedicated to the founder of Parkland Soccer, Pete and Linda Gado, and the late Travis Scopino, who was the vice president and referee director.

The winners, Leah Finkelman, Lauren Ofstein, Katie DeGregorio, LJ Dussinoff, Matthew Barrett, Lilliana Scopino, Dylan Brauner, Jonas Samara, and Matt Rosenthal, received $1,000.
