Crime Update for Parkland Florida

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through February 6, 2022.

Information at NW 66th Street on 01/31/2023. The victim advised that she hired a contractor to remodel her kitchen, and the contractor refused to return $17,000 after said contractor continued to ask for more money without delivering the requested work. 

A victim of Burglary Conveyance at Ranch Road on 02/02/2023. The total estimated loss was $331. The victim’s passenger side glass was broken, and the victim’s purse was taken. 

A victim of Fraud – False Pretense at Cantal Cir E on 02/03/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,500. The subject claimed to be a landscaping business hired by the HOA and took payment from an elderly resident for work that was never completed.

Fraud – All Other

A victim of Fraud – All Other on 02/05/2023. The total estimated loss was $5,500. The victim stated four checks totaling $5500 were given to do some landscaping work at her home. Work was never completed.
