5 Marjory Stoneman Douglas Athletes Officially Sign Letter of Intent

Marjory Stoneman Douglas held another signing day on Feb. 15, where five students made their commitment official.

Bianca Guerra of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas softball team signed with Daytona State University. After playing one year on the varsity softball team, she helped Eagles go 16-8 and make an appearance at Regionals. Guerra went 2-1 on the mound with an ERA of 2.31. She struck out 55 batters in 33.1 innings pitched and had eight hits at the plate.

Kyla Davis, a four-year varsity softball player, is signed to play with Chesapeake College in Maryland. She has a career batting average of .438 and has scored 13 runs.

Jackson Abram signed with Adrian College in Michigan. He was a part of the 2021-21 State and National Championship team with the Eagles after helping them to 30-2 and winning the National High School Baseball Invitational featuring the top 16 teams in the country.

Jessica Naranjo signed with the UNC gymnastics team. She plans to major in biology and compete for a school that has already won six matches this year.

Hours before competing in the Regional Quarterfinals for the boys’ soccer team, Tomer Yair signed to play with Bloomsburg University. The senior led the team with ten goals and eight assists, helping MSD to a record of 11-4-3.
