Marjory Stoneman Douglas had a tremendous fall season, highlighted by student-athletes being picked to All-Conference and BCAA All-Star Games.
The first team selection for the boys swim team came from Lorenzo Herek in the 100 fly/50 free. He is the school record holder in the 50-yard free (20.73). He placed sixth at the State Championship and was also a BCAA Champion in the 50 free (21.04) and 100 back (53.92) before being named USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
Alexander Nichols was also an Honorable Mention, while Sophia El Chantiry qualified for the Second Team in the 50 free/100 fly for the girls team. Carly Chin was an Honorable Mention.
Bryce Gregory also received the First Team in bowling and was a state individual state qualifier after posting a 635 series at the district tournament. He went on to place with a 789 series while having had a season average of 193 along with a high game of 266 and placed 63rd at the state tournament. Vincent Ciullo, Angelo Ferrigno, and Luke Munson were all Honorable Mentions.
In volleyball, Addison Walker, who was also picked to the Second Team, competed for MSD from the girls volleyball team; the Eagles finished the season 10-9, winning a District Championship. She is enrolling at Gardner Webb University in January and will play college volleyball after leading the Eagles with 171 kills. Aviyah Henderson also competed and led the team in blocks with 49, while Lily Ledbetter finished with 146 assists this year. Isabella Cox and Henderson were also named Honorable Mentions.
After narrowly missing out on states, the golf team had Honorable Mentions from Elisa Hernandez, Sophie Alcala-Marks, and Sutton Oosterhuis from the girls and Josh Lieberman, Carson Meredith, and Max Rosen after they won a BCAA District Championship earlier in the year. The football team did not have anyone picked for conference awards, but three players were selected for the BCAA All-Star Game, Chris Jackson, James Ross, and Ethan Senko, after MSD had their lone win against Coral Springs High School.
